The tribe is for people who are tired of watching movies where the plot is entirely predictable, the characters are mere sketches, virtually indistinguishable from one another, and the strongest feeling you have upon leaving the theater is that you spend too much money on boring movies?

Let?s eschew blockbusters and risk our $9 on some obscure indie movies, documentaries or some good old fashioned cult classics. They?re not always great but nine times out of ten you?ll see something you haven?t before and that's what makes going to the movies exciting.

And, it?s not always necessary to head to the theater (and fork over all that cash). I love having people over for potluck dinner and film nights. I have a small apartment but I can fit about 15 people if we don?t mind being casual. I live in Alameda but am happy to go to SF as well. If we had people on both sides of the bridge we could split it up between SF and this side of the world. Also, if people come to my place I am happy to pick them up from the nearest BART station. For those with cars, parking is easy here on the island and it takes about 25 minutes driving from SF.

Thanks,

Suzie
